Temple of Literature

Built in 1070 during Ly Thanh Tong’s dynasty, Temple of Literature situated near Hoan Kiem Lake. It first built to honor Confucius but later it also uses to honor Vietnam’s high ranking scholars. There is a tortoise statue in the temple and during exams season, students come to the temple to rub the tortoise head hoping to get good results.
