Tais
Fabrics woven by women whose designs and colorways vary from district to district. Plain wave and ikat techniques are employed when making Tais. A singlssuch e and narrow Tais, scarf-like, selendang, could take up to months to complete. Smaller pieces of Tais can also be found on accessories like earings, purses, and bags. There are different type of Tais worn by women or men on ceremonies. Male type of Tais is called Mane and female’s Tais is Feto.
