Loi Krathong
Loi/Loy Krathong is also called as the Festival of Light. The festival usually held in November each year but the date is different each time because it is celebrated in the 12th month of traditional Thai lunar calendar. The beginning of the festival is not clear but some speculate it has relation with Buddhism regarding offerings because during the festival people float banana leaves candle boat to the river or releasing lantern to the sky representing their offerings.
