Languages in East Timor

Several languages can be found in daily conversation among East Timorese. Tetun (Tetum) is one official languages while Portuguese is the other one. However, most people speak not less than 16 regional dialects. Those who recieved education or worked between 1975 and 1999 could still speak Bahasa Indonesia fluently.
