Daw Aung San Suu Kyi
Daughter of Aung San, a Nobel recipient on peace, and a State Counsellor of Myanmar who used to be under house arrest from 1990 to 2010. During this period, she was released several times and conditions of house arrest were loosened but she just finally freed in 2010. She was not able to attend her husband burial, a British, Michael Aris, in 1999 in London due to pressure from the officials she might not be allowed to reenter the country. In 2015, her party National League for Democracy (NLD) won general election. However, a new constitution do not allow her to run for presidency because of his marriage with a foreigner.
