Cambodian Independence Day

It’s celebrated on 9th of November with festivals, parades and fireworks in the capital, Phnom Penh. After being a Frenh colony for over two centuries, Cambodia finally gained their independence seizing moment of the Japanese defeat in World War II. Since then, King Norodom Sihanouk ruled the country for 15 years until coup de etat took over his office.
