Angkor Wat
One of world’s wondrous spots, an UNESCO World Heritage and the finest impression of Ancient Khmer, Angkor simply the largest building in Angkor temples complex. The complex itself symbolises Hindu faith by resembling Mt Meru, the Mt Olympus of Hindu. Angkor Wat is core of Khmer’s pride, national symbol as the image of the temple appears in Cambodian flag. 31 meter tower is the central building in 800m basrelief that is to be viewed in anti-clockwise direction. Built by Suryavarman II, the king who unified Cambodia, he dedicated the temple for Hindu god, Vishnu. The construction began approximately the same time with that of Westminster Abbey.
