South East Asian Zoos Association
We are the non-governmental organization called the Southeast Asian Zoo Association, or SEAZA. In this context, “zoos” shall be defined as inclusive of zoological gardens, biological parks, safari parks, public aquariums, bird parks, reptile parks, insectariums, and other collections of wildlife primarily for public exhibition and/or breeding of endangered species.
SEAZA was established in 1990 in Bogor, Indonesia. There are currently 12 countries and territories taking part as the core zone SEAZA members, including: Brunei, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam. Furthermore, SEAZA is also open to other zoos and Individuals around the world to join as Associate Members, from such countries as China, Japan, South Korea, DPR Korea, Australia, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, and South Africa, Czech Republic, etc.
